Vermicelleria in Zurich

Food spot recommendation in the heart of Zurich.

The pop up store “Vermicelleria” hides in the underground beneath the vivid city centre.

The menu is short and simple. A classic Swiss dessert that includes chestnuts, a bunch of sugar and sometimes vanilla ice cream.
The really tough cookies enjoy a glass of champagne to it…

Long story short: we learned about the cafe on tiktok and desperately wanted to give it a go. We were counting down days to get there and loved everything about it.
It was funny to see that most of the visitors were a little older. Normally not the generation we meet in the cafes we spend our time in.

Our explanation of this is that the so called „Vermicelles“ hold a childhood memory for many of us.

So we think people tend to come and enjoy a bite of childhood in these dark and cold fall days.

Well, it surely worked for us and was worth a visit.

The Vermicelleria is still open until 24th november 2024.
